How to hear from God yourself / Pastors let’s teach How

let-them-go

Here the scripture references of the voice note that was sent out on 18 Oct 2020.

Are you able to hear clearly from God yourself? Pastors / ministers / church leaders – are you teaching the members of your church how to come into the presence of God themselves and hear from Him directly?

When Jesus died on the cross the veil in the temple tore from top to bottom. Under the new covenant we as born again believers are able to get into the presence of the Most Holy God (YHWH) everyday, which was only possible for the high priest once a year under the old covenant. But the path to His presence follows the same pattern of the tabernacle as described in Exodus (mainly Exodus 25–31 and 35–40).

“And Jesus cried out again with a loud [agonized] voice, and gave up His spirit [voluntarily, sovereignly dismissing and releasing His spirit from His body in submission to His Father’s plan]. And [at once] the veil [of the Holy of Holies] of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; the earth shook and the rocks were split apart.” Matthew 27: 50 – 51 AMP

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4: 14-16 NKJV

But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:11-15 NKJV

We start in the outer court, where we need to accept Jesus as our ultimate sacrifice for our sins that results in salvation. But please do not get stuck in the outer court. Please allow Jesus our High priest to wash you with the water of the Word, repent and ask forgiveness for the sins as He shows you, forgive others what they did to you (without that God cannot forgive you). Surrender everything to the Lord, all your fears, all your worries, your hurt, all your possessions, your family, your past, your future. This should be done out loud if possible, as our words have immense power to break strongholds and to take captive thoughts that are not of God. Sometimes we do not realise the sin in our life. Even if you are a pastor or church leader you can experience fear, unbelief, worry, self-righteousness and pride. I know I do very often. All these things should be surrendered to God every day in repentance, so that Jesus can wash us and we can draw near to God.

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:7-12 NKJV

“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.” Mark 11:25 NKJV

I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Luke 13:3 NKJV

For there is no difference;  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,  being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,  whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,  to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.  Romans 3:23-25 NKJV

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.  Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,  not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:22-25

This should be a daily practise, as it is the first thing to do when you are spending time with the Lord. Our time spent with the Lord become a hit and miss affair if we do not know that this is an integral part before entering God’s presence. If we start a church service with worship, but did not do this first step in private time with the Lord before coming to church, people are left unable to connect to God or hear clearly from Him.

In order to walk in the full purposes of why you were created, it is imperative that you are able to hear from God yourself daily, and to follow Jesus every day. When Jesus was on earth he spent hours praying on the mountain in the Spirit, where God was showing him his day ahead.

Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.  And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles. Luke 6:12-13 NKJV

Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. John 21:15-17 NKJV

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Mat 28:19-20 NKJV

Church leaders, seek the Lord earnestly and ask Him to show you how to teach that to your church members. Teach them to be disciples of Jesus. Teach them how to hear from God themselves, so they can go from being lambs to sheep. The sheep knows the voice of Jesus and follow Him. The lambs follow the other sheep (that could be you as their leader). But believers are not meant to stay lambs for 10 or 20 or 30 years! Revival will only come on a larger scale once people experience complete surrender to Jesus Christ and personal revival in their families.  They need to be able to connect to God every day, so He can show them their path for the day. As deception and prophecies and conspiracy theories abound, make sure you know how to hear from God yourself, so you will not be tossed around by the storms we face at the moment from all fronts.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh and tell him, ‘Thus says the Lord God of the Hebrews: “Let My people go, that they may serve Me. Exodus 9:1 NKJV

So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?”
He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”
He said to him, “Feed My lambs.”
He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of [c]Jonah, do you love Me?”
He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”
He said to him, “Tend My sheep.”
He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”
And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.”
Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.
John 21:15-17 NKJV

But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. John 10:26-28 NKJV

And He spoke a parable to them: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into the ditch? A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher. Luk 6:39-40 NKJV

And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant.  And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. Matt 23:10-12 NKJV

Please share this message (you can share this or do your own) so we can make sure that Jesus gets His full reward. He has sacrificed everything on the cross, putting down His will, so we can be set free and live in abundance (John 10:10). For many years I was attending church, and considered myself a Christian, but was not aware that there is so much more. I never experienced the Holy Spirit’s guidance and He never spoke to me directly. I read the Bible and watched Christian television, went to church every Sunday. I thought I was doing everything right! There are many other Christians existing like that right now, not even aware that they are not walking in the fullness of relationship with Him that God intended for us on the cross.

You could be a pastor or a church leader still walking in that place. You should not feel ashamed or offended, you should ask Holy Spirit to reveal to you your unique purpose and how you should access more of Him in your life.  Even if you feel that this is being preached and applied in your church, I believe there is a reason why you are reading this. We are all on a journey of sanctification to Father’s heart until the day we die, and God can speak to each one of us differently. He will meet you where you are. If you ask he WILL answer (Matthew 7:7-11). Ask Him what is still lacking or where you can go deeper. How can you extend a hand of unity to a fellow brother in Christ? Jesus will pour out revival on surrendered hearts, a unified body of Christ. Let me be that body in obedience, Lord.
