I saw something that shook me today. I saw someone who had just come from a wonderful time with the Lord. During their intimate communion, the Lord had placed very precious bracelets on her hands. They represented something precious, a divine deposit, and a great blessing.
Then I saw that some demons followed her after she came from the encounter, because they saw what was on her hands and were seeking to steal it from her. However, she was surrounded by Light and there was an angel walking with her, so they couldn’t access her. They kept following her around and watching, waiting for an unguarded moment.
It so happened that her phone was broken down and needed repair. She looked for a phone repair shop for a while and finally settled for one. The person who was supposed to repair it requested for a moment and left the shop. He took quite some time before coming back – took too long in her opinion. She got more upset by the minute and finally lost her temper, and began to complain to those left in the shop.
She became rude and quarrelsome.
At that very moment, the hedge was broken, and the demons following her around quickly rushed through the gap and grabbed the bracelets from her hands. Because it all happened in the spiritual realm and she was not sensitive in the Spirit at that moment, she did not realise what just happened.
This explains why sometimes we as believers spend a lot of time in prayer and fasting, in the Word and in godly fellowship, but wonder why, sometimes, we don’t see the manifestations we were waiting for. Yet, no time spent with the Lord and in His Presence, whether alone or corporately is ever in vain. Without any chance of failure, God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. So we always come out of the encounters with something, with divine deposits meant to change our lives.
But if we have footholds open to the enemy and areas we have not dealt with, the enemy finds an opportunity to tempt us. And if we fall, then the thief who comes to steal, kill and destroy quickly grabs what we received and rushes off with it. The devil is always prowling around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Even after a great time with the Lord, we must remain alert and sober in the Spirit. Remember that immediately Jesus completed His fast, the enemy came to tempt him. Nehemiah charged his men to build with one hand and hold weapons of defence with the other. Gideon was instructed by God to only go into the battle with the 300 men who drank water in such a way that they were still alert to any possibility of attack.
And as soldiers in the Lord’s Army, even when we are not pressed hard by spiritual warfare, if we prayerfully ask the Lord to reveal to us our weak points, the sin that easily entangles us and the inordinate desires within us, we will be able to deal with them before the enemy can have the opportunity to take advantage of them.
In other words, maybe God DID answer your prayers and He faithfully released what you labored for in prayer but the thief stole it from you before it could manifest. When men slept, the Bible says, the enemy sowed tares. The thief takes advantage of the areas we are not keeping guarded. What is gained in the spiritual realm, can be lost if not guarded.
In which areas of your life is the enemy most likely to find a foothold? Think about it. How much have you lost? How many times have you left an amazing, anointed time of fellowship, or your prayer closet after a great time with Jesus, and then stumbled over a rock offence and quarrelled with someone, or gossiped…tell me, what do you most easily stumble over, even after being with the Lord?
Confess with a resolute mind: NEVER AGAIN will I lose anything that I receive from God in the name of Jesus Christ!
They will not build homes and have others live there.
They will not plant and have others eat from it.
My people will live as long as trees,
and my chosen ones will enjoy what they’ve done.

I am coming soon! Hold on to what you have so that no one takes your crown.
Revelation 3:11 GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. John 10:10 (NLT)
